Christa is 2 months old!!!

Happy 2 month birthday Christa!!!

Christa had her 2 month birthday on the 21st... She also had her 2 month check-up on the 21st... She weighs in at 12 pounds 8.5 ounces... She is 21 inches long... She is in the 90th percentile for weight and the 10th percentile for length... She got her 2 month shots and I almost cried right along with her...

Christa wants to thank Aunt Holly, Uncle Patrick, and Cousin Elise for the clothes and toys...

Misc.

Well, the Emery family is doing well... Kyle and I have figured out how to give Christa a bath without her objecting too much... Kyle has to stand in the tub at the end of Christa's lil tub while I hold her up so that Kyle can wash her...

It seems like Christa is just packing on the pounds but we wont know for sure until the 21st for her 2 month check up... which I am dreading because they are going to give her the 2 month shots... *sigh*

On Feb. 21st, we have an appointment for her 3 month pictures... We are going to Sears... I was going to go to JC Penny but if any of you saw our engagment pictures it was quickly decided that we go elsewhere... then my sister, Missy, sent pictures of her boys and her and they were just sooooo good (like they always are) and she went to Sears so that's how we decided to go there...

anywho... just wanted to update everybody on whats happening here...

oh yea... if we could all get together and convince Kyle that I need a day at the spa for Valentine's Day or Mother's day (preferably Valentine's day) that would be great... :D

I am not exactly sure how much she weighs now... but a few weeks ago she was 7 lbs 5.5 oz... I imagine that she is over 8 pounds by now... she is eating well and sleeping good (for the most part)... she has her cranky pants moments but dont we all... I am still realizing that she was here so early... with my due date just a few days ago everything is coming to a realization that she was here too early... but she is a survivor and stubborn (like Kyle and me) and I guess we were in the right place at the right time... her timing couldnt have been better... and believe me when I say that I am thankful that we were already there at the hospital...

Christa update 12/1

Christa is not going home on Sunday... She is not eating like she should and as a result she is not gaining weight like they want her too... The doctors want her to eat 120cc every 8 hours and she is missing that by about 15cc... Thursday night she gained 20 grams putting her at 2560 grams and last night she maintained that weight... They still have her on the higher calorie formula... She is doing well other than that... I am going to go home with Kyle tomarrow because I have a few things that I need to take care of on Monday... If the weather is desent and we are outta here by 1ish then we are prolly going to stop by Papa and Mimi's (Kyle's dad)... they are hosting a get together for us... I will prolly come back down on Monday night if Kyle wants to drop me off otherwise I am going to come back down on Tuesday... but I guess it all depends on when Christa is getting discharged... so aside from not eating enough or gaining enough weight she is doing just fine... her bottom is healing very well...

Christa... update 11-29

We found out that we wont be going home until Sunday... she lost another ounce last night so they put her on a higher calorie formula today... she make "ugly" faces when she eats it but she eats it none the less... she is still eating about 2 oz every 3-4 hours... Doctors say she is doing well except for the little weight losses... Hopefully when we get home Sunday I will have few minutes to post newer pictures... Love to you all... Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone...

This was the first time I saw her... This was about 4 hours after her surgery...
This was Friday after Thanksgiving... She just got off the resporator...

The most resent... Sunday afternoon...

Christa is doing very well right now... She is breathing on her own and eating from a bottle... When we left this afternoon they increased her formula from 15 cc to 20 cc... She is completely off the morphine... They also took her off of the caffine... that was to get her a little "jump start"... Hopefully we will be able to bring her home this week... it all depends on whether she is eating good and if she doesnt need any more antibiotics... she is eating a little slow... she doesnt want to eat because of all the IV fluids that they were giving her...

Sorry if this doesnt make a whole lot of since... I am pretty tired yet... I just wanted to give the basics...

As for me... I am doing good... a little pain at the c section site but that is to be expected... I am moving pretty slow as well...

Baby News 11-08

Well On the 8th I had another prenatal visit... no ultrasound though... everything is good with baby and me... I have to have non-stress tests done every week because of my liver transplant... and to make sure that if I am having contractions they arent messing with the babys heartbeat... better safe than sorry I guess... I am fine with that though... I think thats about all on this visit...
